At Freshest: Counter, 4 to 5 days; refrigerator, 3 to 8 weeks
Optimal Storage: Store loose in the low-humidity crisper drawer. Do not put in a plastic bag or airtight container. Mesh bags that let air circulate are fine. Peeled or cut oranges should be refrigerated in an airtight container or bag. Look through the fruit regularly and use the ones that are getting soft.
Freezing: Rinse, peel, divide into sections, and remove seeds and membranes. Slice if desired. Then pack in 40 percent syrup. Citrus can be frozen in water or juice without the sugar.
Refrigerate: Preferably not until they ripen to your desired taste. If you can’t eat them all within a couple of days, store the extras in the fridge. The cool temperatures will slow down the ripening process, and give you about a week before the fruit becomes overripe. Take them out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before eating to enhance their flavor.

Freezing: Peel and slice peaches into a bowl, add some lemon juice to stop browning. Lay pieces onto a baking sheet and flash freeze up to 2 hours to form a frozen crust, this stops them sticking together. Pack peaches in freezer bags about ¾ full, flatten bags and freeze. They will keep for several months.
